Nia is an Academy Award-nominated screenwriter for her breakout film “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” the screenwriter for the films and starring roles in “My Life in Ruins,” “I Hate Valentine’s Day” (which she also directed), and “Connie and Carla,” co-starring Toni Colette. With Tom Hanks Nia co-wrote "Larry Crowne.” She can be seen in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
